Junior Belfast Giants appoint Fundraising Manager

The Junior Belfast Giants Ice Hockey club today announced that Linda Mc Kendry has been appointed to the role of Fundraising Manager.

The fundraising manager is the latest appointment to the Juniors stable and Linda will join Paul Robinson (Chief Operating Officer) and his team of volunteers who are shaping the organisation into one of the most successful youth sports groups in Northern Ireland.

The Junior Belfast Giants have 5 teams currently playing competitive ice hockey with full rosters found in all age categories providing a valuable sporting resource to young people from all over the city and beyond.

The club has grown significantly in the last couple of years and the request against club funds is greater than ever with the club currently being operated solely on the donations and contributions from the players and their families.  This appointment will enable the club to seek funding and sponsorship from external sources and will provide a platform for future development and growth.

Linda Mc Kendry says “I am honoured and delighted to be joining the Junior Belfast Giants as their fundraising manager.  I am a massive ice hockey fan and I am looking forward to the challenge of securing funding for the club.  I have been working in the voluntary sector for the last 15 years and I am more than happy to be able to use my experience and skills to give something back to the world of ice hockey in Belfast which has given me much entertainment over the years.  The Junior Belfast Giants are a club which has transitioned quickly and the club is now at an evolving stage ready for growth and development and I am excited to be part of that change and progression”.
