EAST COAST ACES HOCKEY TEAMS
The East Coast Aces is pleased to announce the launch of Ireland’s first junior elite spring hockey teams. The Aces will hold two seperate tryouts for the following age groups on Sunday, April 11th in Dundalk Ice Dome.
U-13 (12 or younger at 31st Dec 2009), at 10am
U-15 players ( 14 or younger at 31st Dec 2009) at 11.15am
The cost of the tryout will be €20 per person. The teams will be picked by the coaching staff and players will be notified if they have been selected the following week, via a phone call. When selected, you must ensure that you continue with your club training also.
Aces Team Goals:
- To provide regular training
- To provide regular off ice fitness training
- To engage players in team building activities.
- To provide experience playing in hockey games.
- To enable players to take part in one European trip in the month of June
Financial Commitment:
Each selected player will have to pay a team registration fee of €120. This money will go towards playing jersey, training jersey, socks and tracksuits and other team apparel. Each player will be able to keep their jerseys and tracksuit at the end of the programme. Also each player will be required to pay a set fee towards their ice cost.
Fundraising:
The Aces will hold team fundraising events, starting in April and through to June. All money raised will go towards the travel costs of the European trip in June. Each selected player will be required to fundraise and we will be looking for parent volunteer involvement with this aspect of the team.
