Training for the u10′s & 12′s Sat 30.01.2010 at the Odyssey

A slot has become available in the Odyssey this Saturday, (30.01.2010) at 11.30am and a training session has been arranged for the Under 10′s and 12′s. The training will last approximately one and a half hours.

JUNIOR GIANTS V DUNDALK BULLS

Sunday 7Feb10 the Junior Giants will be playing the Junior Bulls. The Storms (u10) and Hurricanes (u12) are playing in Dundalk. Face-offs at 09-30 and 11-00. The coach must  leave the Ice Bowl at 06.50. If using own transport please be at Dundalk 30 min before the Face-Offs.

The Tornadoes (u14) and Cyclones (u16/u18) are playing at the Ice Bowl. Face-off are at 4-45 and 6pm. Please be at the Ice Bowl 30 Min’s before your Face-Off.

The Coaches and Team manager will be informing the players, who will  be playing in which Team during Training this week.

This Sunday 31Jan10.The training is 3 hrs starting at 4-45pm till 5-45pm LTP u10/u12 .5-45pm till 6-45pm u14.6-45pm till 7-45pm u16/u18.

ROAD TRIP

The Club committee are working with the Dundalk Bulls trying to arrange a hockey game in Scotland for all the ages (u10u12u14u16/18). There is some paperwork that needs to be filled out and signed, before the player can go on this trip. So please fill out the forms at the next training night or take them home and return a.s.a.p. If you have not submitted 2 passport photographs please do so. The forms must be filled out and signed and returned so we can put the final plans in place, and for all players to go on this road trip.

CROSS BORDER

The cross border events will re-start on the 14 February at Dundalk. From now on all cross border will be games! Until then please ignore the calendar on the JBG web page. Before the 14th Feb there will be a Junior Giants v Junior Bulls game for all ages, date and times to follow. This Sunday 24th Jan, due to Belfast Giants game at the Odyssey the 2 hour training has been cancelled sorry.

Wednesday 20/01/10 Training Re-Arranged

Due to the Giants game at the Ice Bowl on Wednesday 20/01/10. JBG Tornadoes(14s) and players who have an arrangement with the coaches to attend this training slot, your training has been re-arranged. It is now at the Odyssey from 1pm till 2.30ish this Saturday 16/01/10.

TRAINING

Due to the LBM Giants game at the Ice Bowl, all training on Wednesday  20/01/10 has been cancelled. This Sunday training at the Ice Bowl is Junior Giants training and not Cross Border games as shown on the calender.

CROSS BORDER TRAINING 10JAN10

Due to continuing severe weather condition and forecast for weekend it has been decided that cross border training for Sun 10 Jan. is canceled. Afternoon training at the Ice Bowl will be L.T.P. /u10/u12 16.45-17.45  u14/u16/u18 17.45-18.45

Junior Belfast Giants Secretary

Kellie Ewen informed the JBG committee during the break, that regrettably she has decided to resign from the role of Secretary to the JBG. The committee wish to thank her for all the hard work that she has put into the Junior Giants. We are glad that she is happy to continue working for Junior Hockey and the Junior Giants as a supportive parent.

If you would like to help with the development of Junior Hockey, with new forward thinking ideas and a lot of hard work, then apply for the role of secretary of the Junior Giants by giving your name to Robin Foster.

Training times for Tuesday Evenings

From Tuesday 12 Jan 2010, training times will be moved back to 1815-1915.
